We take the protection of your personal data very seriously and strictly adhere to the applicable legal provisions on the protection of personal data and data security, in particular the GDPR (EU General Data Protection Regulation).

In this privacy policy, we inform you about the nature, scope and purpose of the processing of your personal data when you visit our website. The terms used correspond to the definitions in Art. 4 GDPR.

1. Provider identification

The controller responsible for processing your personal data is Inken Schneider – TALENT PUZZLE, Oppenheimer Landstr. 35, 60596 Frankfurt am Main, Germany. For further contact details, please refer to the imprint on our website.

2. Processing of personal data

2.1. Visiting our website

If you visit our website for informational purposes only, we do not collect any personal data except for the data that your browser transmits to our web server for technical reasons. This involves the following log files:
• Date and time of the request
• Content of the request (specific page)
• Operating system and its access status / HTTPS status code
• Amount of data transferred
• Website from which the request originates
• Browser, language and version of the browser software
• IP address

The storage of this data in log files is technically necessary to ensure the functionality of the website. It helps us to optimise the website and ensure the security of our information technology systems.

We collect this data on the basis of our legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 I, f) GDPR in order to display our website, detect possible errors and perform statistical evaluations based on the anonymised IP addresses.

2.2. Cookies

2.2.1. Our website uses cookies. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your PC when you visit our website. Cookies cannot execute programmes or transmit viruses on your PC. Cookies contain a characteristic string of characters that enables the browser to be uniquely identified when the website is visited again.

2.2.2. This cookie information is not passed on and third-party cookies are not used. We use cookies to the following extent:

– Transient cookies for temporary use: these are automatically deleted when you close your browser (Art. 6 I f) GDPR). These include, in particular, so-called session cookies. These store a so-called session ID, which can be used to assign various requests from your browser to the shared session. This allows your PC to be recognised when you return to our website. The session cookies are deleted when you close your browser.

– Persistent cookies for temporary use: we only use these in connection with the web analysis services we use (Art. 6 I f) GDPR). They are automatically deleted after a specified period, which may vary depending on the cookie. You can delete cookies at any time using your browser’s privacy settings.

2.2.3. If personal data is processed by a cookie set by us, this processing is carried out on the legal basis of Art. 6 I c) and f) GDPR, either to fulfil obligations arising from a contract or to safeguard our legitimate interest in realising the best possible functionality of our website and a user-friendly design for your visit to our site. Insofar as cookies are based on consent, Art. 6 I a) GDPR is the relevant legal provision.

2.2.4. We use the consent tool ‘Real Cookie Banner’ to manage the cookies and similar technologies (tracking pixels, web beacons, etc.) used and the relevant consents. Details on how ‘Real Cookie Banner’ works can be found at https://devowl.io/knowledge-base/real-cookie-banner-data-processing/.

Without this data, your cookie preferences cannot be saved and taken into account on subsequent visits.

2.2.5. You can set your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies and can decide selectively whether to accept or reject them. Depending on the browser you use, you can configure these cookie settings differently:

You can contact us via the email addresses provided on our website. In this case, your personal data transmitted with the email will be stored. This usually includes your name and contact details, the reason for contacting us and the content of the correspondence.

Our legitimate interest in processing the data lies in handling the request and responding to the conversation (Art. 6 I b) GDPR).

We store personal data for as long as we are obliged to do so by commercial and tax law retention periods. After these periods have expired, we delete the relevant data unless it is still required for the performance of services resulting from existing contracts, for the initiation of new contracts or on the basis of a legitimate interest on our part.

2.4. Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (“Google”), on our website. Google analyses your use of our website on our behalf. For this purpose, we use cookies, among other things; see section 2.2.

The information collected by Google Analytics about your use of this website is transmitted to a Google server in the USA, stored there, analysed and made available to us in the form of anonymised statistics. These statistics enable us to understand user behaviour and regularly improve our website, which is a legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6 I f) GDPR.

We use the function activation of IP anonymisation on this website. This means that your IP address will be truncated by Google within member states of the European Union or in other states party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transferred to a Google server in the USA and truncated there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide other services relating to website activity and internet usage to the website operator.

The IP address transmitted by your browser within the framework of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data.

You can prevent the storage of cookies by adjusting the settings in your internet browser as described in section 2.2. In addition, you can prevent Google from collecting the data generated by the cookie and relating to your use of our website, as well as Google from processing this data, by downloading and installing the browser plugin available at Google: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en.

You can prevent Google Analytics from collecting your data by clicking on the following link to object to data collection. An opt-out cookie will be set to prevent your data from being collected on future visits to this website: [borlabs-cookie type=”btn-switch-consent” id=”google-analytics”]

We have entered into a contract with Google for order data processing and fully implement the strict requirements of the German data protection authorities when using Google Analytics.

Detailed information about Google Analytics can be found in the Google Analytics Terms of Service, the Google Privacy Policy and the Google Analytics Security and Privacy Principles.

2.5. Social media

No social media plug-ins are used on this website; only a link to LinkedIn and XING is provided.

Our website uses plugins from the Google-operated site YouTube. The operator of the site is YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave., San Bruno, CA 94066, USA.

When you visit one of our pages equipped with a YouTube plugin, a connection to the YouTube servers is established. This tells the YouTube server which of our pages you have visited.

If you are logged into your YouTube account, you enable YouTube to assign your surfing behaviour directly to your personal profile. You can prevent this by logging out of your YouTube account.

The use of YouTube is in the interest of an appealing presentation of our online offerings. This constitutes a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 I f) GDPR. Further information on the handling of user data can be found in YouTube’s privacy policy at: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en&gl=en.

The comments and associated data are stored and remain on our website until the commented content has been completely deleted or the comments have to be deleted for legal reasons (e.g. offensive comments).

The comments are stored on the basis of your consent (Art. 6 I a) GDPR). You can revoke your consent at any time. To do so, simply send us an informal email. The legality of the data processing operations already carried out remains unaffected by the revocation.

2.8. Online appointment booking

This website does not use plug-ins for online appointment booking, but only provides a link to the provider calendly.

We take technical, organisational and contractual measures to ensure the security of data processing in accordance with the state of the art. In this way, we ensure that the provisions of data protection laws are complied with and that the data processed by us is protected against destruction, loss, alteration and unauthorised access.

We have commissioned a third-party provider (Art. 28 GDPR) to carry out the technical operation of the website (hosting), who processes the data on our behalf.
